2 injured when boom truck flips in Brooklyn, striking parked vehicle with attached crane

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two people were hospitalized after a boom truck flipped on its side in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning and its attached crane struck the parked vehicle they were inside, authorities said.

The truck collapsed outside of 3017 Glenwood Rd. in East Flatbush just before 11:15 a.m., police said. Once on its side, the attached crane struck a parked vehicle occupied by two men, ages 43 and 35.

The victims were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, according to the FDNY. Police said that the younger man suffered pain to the head and body, while the older man reported pain to the leg.

Both men are in stable condition, authorities said.
