VIDEO: 2 men accused of stealing mail from Brooklyn residential building sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two men wanted for breaking into mailboxes at a residential building in Brooklyn earlier this month, authorities said.

A 41-year old resident of a building located in the vicinity of Dorchester Road and Argyle Road realized that his mail had not arrived and contacted the NYPD the morning of March 4.


Subsequent investigation determined that on that same day at approximately 2:30 a.m., two unknown men entered the building and forcibly broken open secured mailboxes and removed mail, officials said.

The two suspects then fled on foot to parts unknown.

The total value of the mail removed was undetermined at the time of the report.

Police describe the suspects as males, 20-30 years of age, and released photos and surveillance of them that were taken during the incident.
