2 men shot in Chelsea, uncooperative with cops

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Two men were wounded Tuesday night in a double shooting at the Chelsea Houses in Manhattan, police said.

The two men were gunned down inside the public housing project at West 26th Street and Ninth Avenue just before midnight, according to police.

A 37-year-old man was shot in the stomach, while a 40-year-old man was shot in the right leg.

Both men were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

It’s not yet clear what led to the shooting or if the victims knew the shooter, police said.

The victims weren't being cooperative with investigators, according to cops.

No arrests had been reported as of Wednesday.
