NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two people were stabbed outside of a West Village bar early Sunday morning by a drunk customer, officials said.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m.outside of Grace's Bar located on West 14th Street near Eighth Avenue when the drink patron customer began to argue with a doorman, police sources told the New York Post.
According to police, a 35-year-old bartender and another man went to help the doorman when the customer pulled out a knife and stabbed the bartender in the hand and the other man was repeatedly stabbed in the left side of his chest.
Both victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital.
The second victim was taken into surgery and remains in critical condition, police said.
Authorities said the attacker was wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans, and Timberland boots.
He fled east on West 14th Street, police said.
An investigation remains ongoing.
