NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two window washers were injured, one of them seriously, when scaffolding collapsed at a Manhattan skyscraper on Saturday, sending them falling about 20 feet, officials said.

The two men were working at 30 Hudson Yards on W. 33rd Street when scaffolding "malfunctioned and collapsed" shortly before 11:20 a.m., FDNY spokesman Mike Parrella said.

The men and the scaffolding fell about 20 feet onto a structure on the 37th floor, Parrella said.

Citizen App video shows firefighters and police on the street shortly after the collapse.

Firefighters had to break a window on the 37th floor and pull the men through the window, according to Parrella.

Both of the window washers were taken to Bellevue Hospital. One of them was in serious but stable condition, while the other had minor injuries, Parrella said.
