
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police launched an investigation into the death of a two-year-old girl at a West Harlem shelter late Monday night.
At approximately 11:40 p.m. on June 7, officials responded to a 911 call of an unconscious child inside of a room at a shelter located at 30 Hamilton Place.
Upon arrival, officers observed the child, identified as Mariya Huebler, unconscious and unresponsive, with no obvious signs of trauma observed, officials said.
EMS transported the baby girl to Mount Sinai Saint Luke's Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
