NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A two-year-old girl was hospitalized on Wednesday after the stroller she was in was struck by an SUV while she and her caretaker attempted to cross the street in Queens, according to police.

A man was driving a gray SUV eastbound on Central Avenue when he made a right turn onto 70th Street and hit the toddler just after 10 a.m., officials said.

The girl suffered severe injuries to her face and knees, but she was conscious when emergency responders arrived.

EMS rushed the girl to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

The man remained on the scene and no charges have yet been filed against him.
