NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two children were attacked within blocks of each other in Chelsea on Wednesday, possibly by the same man, police said.

The two kids were attacked near the High Line park over a five-minute span, according to police.

In the first attack, a man used a cellphone to strike a 7-year-old child at West 21st Street and 10th Avenue at 11:55 a.m.

Five minutes later and two blocks south, a man slapped a 2-year-old girl at West 19th Street and 10th Avenue.

The two victims, who are not related, were conscious and alert. Their parents declined additional medical attention.

Police believe the same “emotionally disturbed” man who fled towards Hudson Yards is behind both attacks.

No arrests have been made.
