NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Eight people including three firefighters were injured in a fire at a Bronx residential building early Thursday morning.
The flames broke out just after 4:10 a.m. on the top floor of a seven-story residential building located at 130 Van Cortlandt Avenue West in Van Cortlandt Village.
Video from the Citizen app showed fire shooting from the roof of the apartment building.

Over 130 firefighters from 33 units responded to the fire that quickly grew to a three-alarm just after 4:40 a.m., according to the FDNY.
Three firefighters were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Five civilians suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were evaluated and treated on the scene, the FDNY said.
Fire officials are working to determine the cause of the fire.
