NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police responding to an apartment building on Thursday morning in Ridgewood, Queens found three men dead in the basement, the NYPD said.
Just before 7 a.m. officers responded to a call reporting an unconscious man inside 17-24 Putnam Ave.
Upon arrival, cops found three men unconscious and unresponsive in the cellar. Medical personnel pronounced them dead at the scene.
One of the men was 39-years-old, another was 38-years-old and the third is unidentified, cops said. The identities of the deceased are pending proper family notification.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
