
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The Best Hospitals Honor Roll, an annual list curated by U.S. News, ranks three New York City hospitals among the top 20 in the county.

Coming in at third in the nation is NYU Langone. Last year, NYU Langone was eighth on the list.
New York-Presbyterian holds its same number seven spot and Mount Sinai moved up the ranks to 16 from 17 last year.
"Hospitals received points if they were nationally ranked in the 15 specialties – the more specialties and the higher their rank, the more points they got – and if they were rated high performing in any of the 20 procedures and conditions," the magazine said of their ranking system.
NYU Langone pulled the number one spot in the nation for neurology and ranked top five in cardiology, diabetes, gastroenterology, geriatrics, orthopedics and pulmonology.
New York-Presbyterian ranked in the top five for cardiology, diabetes, neurology, psychiatry, rheumatology and urology while Mount Sinai was touted as number 1 in the country for geriatrics.
The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota once again came in as the number one hospital overall in the nation.
