3 sought in armed East Harlem home invasion: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for three armed men wanted in a violent home invasion at an East Harlem home early Monday, the NYPD confirmed.

It happened at about 2:25 a.m. at 2049 Second Avenue in East Harlem, authorities said.

According to officials, while he was asleep in his bedroom, three men entered the residence through a bedroom window that was unlocked.

The suspects then displayed a black handgun and asked the 41-year-old man for a unspecified amount of money and cannabis.

The man was then struck twice on the left side of his face and once on the mouth. The suspects went around the bedroom and cause damage to the closet door, cops said.

The trio stole jewelry and watches amounting to $10,400 before fleeing through the front door.

The investigation remains ongoing.
