NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for four people who they say smashed a crucifix and a stained-glassed window at a Brooklyn church in a suspected hate crime.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task force released photos of the suspects Wednesday as they investigate the Jan. 27 vandalism at St. Columba Church in Marine Park.

According to police, the group walked up to the church on Kimball Street around 2:45 a.m. and damaged the crucifix and stained-glass window before fleeing the scene.

No injuries were reported.
