NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for four suspects accused of repeatedly punching an MTA worker inside a Bronx subway station earlier this week.
A 55-year-old MTA worker was approached by the four suspects at 1:47 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, in the mezzanine of the Bruckner Boulevard-Hunts Point Avenue 6 station in Longwood, officials said.
The strangers and the worker got into a verbal dispute that escalated when two male suspects began to punch the victim in the face, police said.
The men fled in an unknown direction, while the two female suspects boarded a northbound 6 train, authorities said.
Medics treated the injured man at the scene.
Police said that one of the male suspects was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants and white sneakers, while the other was clad in black with black-and-white sneakers.
One of the female suspects was wearing a black vest, white shirt, black pants and black-and-white sneakers, police said, while the other had on a black jacket, blue shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
