NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD released images Friday of a man suspected of sucker punching a woman in the face in Union Square—the fifth man since last week to be sought or arrested for similar unprovoked attacks in Manhattan.

The 33-year-old victim was walking on Union Square East, near East 16th Street, around 2:30 p.m. on March 20 when her attacker approached her from behind, police said.

He punched her in the face and then fled northbound on Park Avenue, according to cops.

She suffered minor injuries in the attack and declined further medical attention from EMS.
