
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Authorities are investigating after a house fire in Queens on Sunday left six people injured, one of them critically.
At about 11 a.m., the FDNY were called to a home located at 116-50 146th Street in South Jamaica.
According to fire officials, 33 units and 140 firefighters responded to the two-story building. The blaze was placed under control after noon.
A 65-year-old an was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. Three firefighters also suffered minor injuries.
Two civilians were treated at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation but a lithium ion battery was found at the scene, according to the FDNY.
