VIDEO: 60 cell phones, $5K among items stolen at Bronx electronics store

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a man wanted in connection with a burglary at an electronics business that occurred in the Bronx earlier this week, officials said.

Just before 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 20, the suspect and an accomplice broke the front door gate lock to gain entry inside of Telcom store located at 1510 Watson Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood.


Once inside, the suspect allegedly removed approximately $5,500 from the register, as well as five laptops, 60 cellphones, five Apple Ipads, and a Bank of America credit card belonging to a 47-year-old employee before fleeing on foot to parts unknown.

Later that day, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the suspect used the victim's credit card to make an unauthorized transaction at a 711 Store, the NYPD said.

Police describe the first suspect as a light-skinned adult man, approximately 5'9" tall, 200lbs; last seen wearing a gray sweater and black baseball hat.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned adult man, approximately 5'9" tall and 150lbs.

Officials on Friday released surveillance video of the first suspect.
