The woman, Cyndi Gradwell, was walking on Ninth Avenue between 35th and 36th streets after arriving in the city with her two daughters when she was allegedly tripped from behind by 36-year-old Kelvin Winfield, authorities said.

Gradwell’s fall caused injuries to her head and face, including a broken tooth and swollen left eye, officials said. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

Surveillance video obtained by the New York Post shows the victim walking on the sidewalk with her pink suitcase trailing when she is approached by Winfield in a white coat.

Police arrested Winfield, who is unhoused, for the attack and charged him with several offenses including assault, harassment and reckless endangerment.
