NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A three-alarm fire at a Bronx apartment building left nine people injured, including eight firefighters, on Sunday, officials said.
The fire erupted several blocks from Yankee Stadium at Woodycrest Avenue and W. 163rd Street in the Highbridge section around 12 p.m.
The fire started on the fifth floor of the building but eventually spread to multiple floors, according to amNewYork.
Citizen App video shows flames and smoke pouring out of the windows of the building and over the neighborhood.

Residents were evacuated as some 138 firefighters from 33 units responded, according to the report.
Eight firefighters were treated at area hospitals for injuries, as was one resident. The severity of their injuries wasn't immediately known.
Firefighters got the fire under control shortly after 1:30 p.m. The fire marshal will investigate the cause.
