NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Several people were injured in a crash involving an MTA bus and multiple cars in Brooklyn on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Officials responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles and an MTA bus on Nostrand and Flushing avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant at approximately 2:30 p.m.
According to the MTA, three vehicles collided in front of an in-service SBS-44 bus, which then collided with the cars. Two cars then became sandwiched between the bus.
There were eight people injured. Four of them were treated on the scene and refused further medical attention. The other four were transported to area hospitals, the NYPD said.
An investigation is ongoing.
