NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — At least eight people were injured when an SUV crashed into a medical building in Yonkers on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
It happened just before 10 a.m. at a Montefiore Medical Group building located at 1010 Central Park Avenue.
Two people in the car and three employees were among those injured. The extent of their injuries are not yet known.
Police believe the driver suffered a medical episode before crashing. An ambulance transported her to Westchester Medical Center in critical condition.
The building's structure will need to be evaluated after it sustained considerable damage.
No other details were released and an investigation is ongoing.
