NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after a 9-year-old boy was struck and killed by a school bus in Brooklyn during the Friday morning commute.
At approximately 8:19 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a child struck at the intersection of Lee Avenue and Lorimer Street in Williamsburg.
The boy was found in the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene.
The bus driver was making a left turn onto Lorimer Street when they hit the boy. The driver kept going, but then returned to the scene, authorities said.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
