NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The MTA temporarily suspended A and C train service between Manhattan and Brooklyn Monday evening after a train hit a shopping cart on the tracks at the Fulton Street station, the agency said.
Service was suspended in both directions at approximately 6:30 p.m., the MTA tweeted. As of around 7:15 p.m., regular service had resumed, according to the agency.
A and C trains were stopping along the F line between Jay Street-MetroTech and W. 4th Street-Washington Square in both directions after the incident, the agency said.
The MTA provided alternative routes for commuters on its Twitter page.
