NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A Queens man was sent to the hospital after a verbal disagreement with an Amazon driver about parking turned violent, the NYPD said.

A 25-year-old male Amazon driver double-parked and blocked the road in Ozone Park on Sunday, prompting a dispute with a 30-year-old man who lives in the area, officials said.

The Amazon driver turned to violence, punching the 30-year-old in the face and causing bruising, swelling and pain, police said.

Officials said that this escalated the altercation even more, prompting the driver to grab a brick from his truck and strike the man's head, causing redness and pain.

The driver then tried to flee the scene in his truck, and ran over the man's foot in the process, police said.

Authorities said the 30-year-old was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

The attack was reported by the victim's neighbor.

Police said that the Amazon driver is under arrest for assault and leaving the scene of an accident.
