Ambulance stolen from Brooklyn hospital is recovered 6 miles away

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An ambulance was stolen from a Brooklyn hospital Sunday and the thief who took it on a six-mile joyride has not yet been arrested, police said.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. when cops got a 911 call about an unauthorized driver taking the vehicle out of a bay at NYC Health+Hospitals/Woodhull in Bedford-Stuyvesant, authorities said.

Authorities recovered the Interfaith Hospital Ambulance at East 103rd Street and Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie, cops said.

No arrests have been made yet and the investigation remains ongoing.
