VIDEO: Anti-mask shopper spews n-word-filled racist tirade against worker at Manhattan bagel shop

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A maskless woman launched into a racist, n-word-filled tirade after a Manhattan bakery worker refused to serve her without a face covering, a cell phone video taken by a bystander shows.

The woman walked into Essex Market on the Lower East Side without a mask on Sunday morning and tried to order bagels at a Davidovich Bakery stand, the New York Post reported.

When an employee told the woman she couldn’t order unless she put on a mask, the woman refused, a video obtained by the outlet shows.

“Ma’am, he’s not going to serve you, so please leave,” another customer can be heard saying.

“Why? ‘Cause he’s a b---- a-- n-----?” the woman responds.

When customers standing near the woman express outrage over her use of the racial slur, the woman repeats it.

The woman ultimately left the market after a security guard told her she needed to leave, the outlet reported.

Marc Fintz-Davidovich, the vice president of Davidovich Bakery, told the outlet the woman has been banned from shopping at any of their outposts.

“We can’t control what comes out of people’s mouths, but there’s zero tolerance for racism,” Fintz-Davidovich said.

In a statement provided to the outlet, a spokesperson for the New York City Economic Development Corporation, which oversees the market, said the market, the EDC and Lower East Side Partnership “strongly denounce the racist incident that occurred in our facility on Sunday.”

“Hate has no place in our city or in the properties that we manage,” the spokesperson said. “The customer who perpetrated this incident was repeatedly asked to leave the facility and did so as we were notifying the NYPD.”

“We have reached out to the vendor and security team to offer our support and commitment to ensuring a safe environment at the Market,” the spokesperson added.
