NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for an armed man accused of robbing a Bronx Verizon store of thousands of dollars worth of electronics on Monday, according to officials.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. inside the Verizon store located on Riverdale Avenue near West 259th Street in North Riverdale, the NYPD said.
According to officials, the suspect entered the store, displayed a firearm, and went to the safe room with staff, taking 27 phones, seven watches, and three tablets with him.

All electronics taken were valued at approximately $30,000, police said.
The suspect then fled the location in a dark-colored vehicle that was driven by another person, video surveillance released by authorities shows.

There were no injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
An investigation remains ongoing.
