NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released a photo on Friday of a man wanted for robbing a 13-year-old boy of his sneakers at knifepoint in broad daylight on Staten Island last week.
At about 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, the young victim was in front of 1609 Castleton Ave. in Port Richmond when he was approached from behind by the suspect, officials said.
The suspect brandished a knife and stole the victim's Jordan sneakers, valued at approximately $450, according to police.
The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants, and black sneakers.
No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
An 18-year-old man was robbed of his Air Jordans and $300 in the Bronx earlier this week.
