Arrest made in pair of sex assaults at Grand Central subway station; 2nd suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police have arrested one man and are searching for a second man in a pair of sex attacks at Grand Central subway station over the weekend.

Russell Peterson, 32, was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon and charged with forcible touching in connection with an incident Saturday in which a 45-year-old woman was attacked on the mezzanine level of the station. According to cops, a man believed to be Peterson placed his face against the victim's face and grabbed her buttocks before fleeing.

Police said Monday that they’re still searching for a second man in an attack from Friday night in which a 22-year-old woman was attacked as she walked through the station’s mezzanine. According to officials, she was approached by a man who grabbed her buttocks over her clothing before fleeing the scene.

He was last seen wearing a green sweater, black pants, and black sneakers.
