
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police on Wednesday identified the victim who was fatally struck in a hit-and- run while driving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in the Bronx last week.
The victim Raymond Brightman, 37, was driving his ATV with a passenger, 30, on Southern Boulevard in East Tremont at around 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 17.
The two were traveling southbound when a gray Jeep collided with them near E. 180th Street.
The two men were thrown off the ATV upon impact and onto the street.
The driver of the Jeep fled the scene.
They were both transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where Brightmen was pronounced dead due to severe head trauma. His friend suffered back injuries and is expected to recover, police said.
The incident is under investigation.
