NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man opened fire as he drove down a Brooklyn street on Wednesday, striking a 20-year-old woman who was sitting in her car, police said.
The man was driving a black Audi down St. Johns Place, near Rochester Avenue, in Crown Heights around 4:45 p.m. when he leaned out of the sedan's sunroof and fired multiple shots, according to police.
One of the bullets struck a woman in the left leg as she sat in her parked car on St. Johns Place, police said.
EMS took the woman to Kings County Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
It's not known if the victim was the intended target of the shooting.
The NYPD on Thursday released a surveillance image of the black Audi sedan they're searching for.
