NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The remains of a fetus were found in a black bag outside a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn on Thursday morning, police and sources told 1010 WINS.

The fetus was discovered just before 11:10 a.m. between two buildings that are part of the Bay View Houses on 102nd Street in Canarsie, cops said.

Sources said that the male fetus was about 5 to 7 months into the gestational period.

An investigation is going after a 911 caller reported a fetus being discarded in a garbage can on the NYCHA complex property, sources said.

The discovery comes one day after a newborn was found abandoned in front of an apartment building in the Bronx. The baby was found wrapped in a blanket in a bag, and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police arrested the baby’s mother, 28-year-old Claudette Tinnin, and charged her with reckless endangerment, abandonment of a child, and acting in a manner injurious to a child, police said.
