NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 59-year-old woman found with head trauma inside her Bay Ridge apartment on Monday morning, authorities said.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a wellness check at 314 79th St. and discovered the victim unconscious and unresponsive inside a first-floor apartment.
EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The woman's death is considered suspicious. The city’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
