NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Sunday released a photo of a man wanted for the violent assault of a 70-year-old man in Gramercy last week.

It happened on Friday, Feb. 13, at approximately 8:27 p.m. in the vicinity of East 22nd Street and Lexington Avenue.

According to officials, the suspect became engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim that turned physical. During the altercation, the suspect struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and placed him in a headlock before throwing him to the ground, officials said.

The victim sustained bruising and significant pain to his left eye.

The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle, traveling eastbound on East 22nd Street toward parts unknown. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, black mask and beige sneakers.
