NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A decomposing body was discovered in an alleyway in Manhattan on Thursday, according to police and sources.
The skeletal remains were found shortly before 11:45 a.m. at 81 Wadsworth Terrace in Washington Heights, police said.
A person collecting bottles came across them in the alley, according to sources.
The body was so badly decomposed that the person’s gender wasn't immediately clear, police said.
The medical examiner is working to determine their cause of death.
