NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times in an unprovoked attack while riding his scooter on a Queens sidewalk Monday night, authorities said.
It happened at approximately 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of 41st Avenue and 99th Street in Corona. According to the NYPD, the teenager was riding his scooter when the suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him in the right side of his torso and back with an unknown object.
Despite his injuries, the teen managed to ride his scooter a few blocks away to 103rd and National streets, where he called 911 for help. Emergency responders transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect was described as wearing a black hoodie and dark grey jeans, fled the scene in an unknown direction.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
