Boy, 16, shot and killed in Harlem, suspects flee on scooters

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in Harlem early Thursday morning, police said as the search for at least two suspects continued.

The victim, identified as Clarence Jones, was shot in the chest at West 124th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard shortly after 1:30 a.m.

Jones, of Harlem, was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, two male suspects fled the scene on Razor scooters. They were last seen headed westbound on West 125th Street.

No arrests were reported Thursday as the investigation continued.
