Boy, 7, accidentally shoots himself at Bronx home: sources

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 7-year-old boy accidentally shot and wounded himself at a Bronx home on Sunday, sources said.

The child was shot around 4 p.m. at a home on East 230th Street in the Wakefield section.

According to sources, it appears the boy shot himself in the left hand by accident.

He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.

The gun belongs to a relative of the child, sources said.

No adults had been taken into custody as of Monday.

The investigation is ongoing
