
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 16-year-old boy was arrested for bringing a loaded gun to his Queens high school on Thursday, police said.

The student was seen showing the gun to other classmates around 1:30 p.m. inside J.H.S. 226 Virgil I. Grissom School on Rockaway Boulevard near 121st Street in South Ozone Park.
The principal quickly alerted NYPD school safety agents, who searched the school and found the teen with the loaded firearm.
Police said he was removed by responding officers to the 106th Precinct stationhouse for arrest processing.
No injuries were reported.
The boy is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.
