At about 6:17 p.m., in front of 3555 Bainbridge Ave. in the Norwood section, two uniformed cops were driving in a marked NYPD car when an unidentified man “recklessly operating” a blue two-wheeled motorbike approached the rear of the patrol car.

Police said that the man threw a brick and the back of the car, causing damage. There were no injuries in relation to this incident.

Thursday's incident is being investigated as an attempted assault on a police officer, according to the NYPD.

The motorist fled southbound on Bainbridge Avenue toward East Gun Hill Road, officials said.

The suspect is described by police as about 18-25, and was last seen wearing dark clothing.
