NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Broadway's vaccine mandate for audience members ended Sunday, though vaccination is still required for cast, crew and staff.

The Broadway League, the trade association for Broadway producers and theater owners, also extended its mask mandate for a month though.

The league will reevaluate its stance on the vaccine mandate on June 26.

In the meantime, individual theaters can opt to keep the mandate in place.

The mandate started in July 2021, when Broadway theaters reopened.
