NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A mother and father were arrested after emergency responders who revived their unconscious baby discovered cocaine in his system, the NYPD said.
EMS workers responding to a 911 call around 1 a.m. on Monday found the approximately 4-month-old baby unconscious inside an apartment on East 166th Street, in the Concourse section of the Bronx, police said.

The responders revived the baby and took him to a nearby hospital, where testing showed cocaine in his system, the NYPD said.
The baby’s parents, both 36, were arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child after the incident, police said.
It wasn’t immediately clear how cocaine ended up in the baby’s system. An investigation is ongoing.
