NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a trio of suspects who violently robbed a bodega worker and stole thousands of dollars on Sunday, authorities said.
At approximately 7:15 p.m., a 53-year-old store employee was working behind the counter inside of a bodega located at 1450 East Gun Hill Rd. in Pelham Gardens when he was approached by three suspects.
The suspects proceeded to breach the counter, pushed the store employee, and removed approximately $2,000 and store merchandise valued at approximately $3,000, officials said.
The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot southbound on Fenton Avenue. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
