NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a 2-year-old Bronx boy who hasn't been seen since he had a court-ordered visitation with his father a month ago.
The NYPD said Monday that the father of Montrell Williams had visitation rights and legally took his son on May 10. But the father never returned with the boy, and his mother called police May 30 to claim custodial interference.
There was new urgency in the case on Monday, when the mother said she saw the father and asked where Montrell was—and the dad didn't answer.
She called police, who brought the father into the precinct stationhouse for questioning on Monday.
According to police, Montrell was last seen at 10 p.m. on May 10 in the area of 827 Hunts Point Ave. in the Hunts Point section. He lives on East 152nd Street in the neighboring Melrose section.
He was last seen wearing a white shirt and a diaper, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
