NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 3-year-old Bronx boy is missing after his mother's friend took him for a walk Thursday evening and never returned, police said Friday.
Cristian Morales was last seen leaving his family's apartment on E. 189th Street in Belmont at 7 p.m.
His 25-year-old mom told investigators that he was in the company of her friend, who had permission to take him outside for a walk.
The friend, identified as Latasha Plaza, 46, is also missing, police said.
According to the NYPD, investigators determined Plaza and the boy boarded a Bx41 MTA bus at Fordham Road and Webster Avenue just before 7:30 p.m.
They haven't been seen since, police said.
Morales has a light complexion and black, curly hair. He was last seen wearing a white and gray t-shirt with Super Mario characters on the front, dark-colored shorts and black open-toe sandals.
Plaza has a dark complexion, slim build and black, curly hair. She was last seen wearing a red, short-sleeve shirt with black trim, a red and black checkered skirt and black sneakers.
