
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —The NYPD on Monday released photos of two men dressed as Amazon workers who allegedly stole a safe from a Bronx home containing $100,000 earlier this month.
The incident occurred at around 9:20 a.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 17 when according to police, the burglars forcibly entered a home near Ellis Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue in Unionport.
Once inside, the burglars stole a safe containing documents and approximately $100,000 in cash then fled the scene on foot, heading east on Ellis Avenue.
The suspects got into a parked white Kia Telluride and drove north on Havemeyer Avenue.
No injuries were reported during the burglary.
