TUCKAHOE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A Bronx NYPD officer was arrested for shoplifting from a Westchester ShopRite, police announced Thursday.

Aaron Cataquet, 27, allegedly stole groceries from a Tuckahoe ShopRite twice before he was identified and arrested.

His fellow officers accused him of stealing $690 total between a trip on April 29 and another on May 7.

A security guard reportedly recognized him from security cameras when he returned to the store and called police.

Cataquet faces petty larceny charges.

The NYPD suspended him without pay while the criminal charges are pending.

Cataquet has been working for the NYPD since 2018. He made $59,100 last year, according to public records.

A 2019 use of force misconduct complaint against him was closed pending litigation, according to 50-a.com, a site that tracks public NYPD disciplinary records.
