Suspect sought in Bronx stabbing that left victim hospitalized in critical condition

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released a photo on Tuesday of a suspect wanted for stabbing a man in the leg in the Bronx and sending him to the hospital in critical condition.

At about 12 p.m. on Saturday, a 45-year-old man was in front of 955 Walton Ave. in Concourse when a stranger engaged him in a verbal argument, police said.

The altercation became physical and the suspect stabbed the victim in the leg with a knife, causing severe injury.

The suspect, who was last seen wearing a maroon hooded sweater, blue jeans and red sneakers, ran off southbound on Walton Avenue toward 161st Street.

Officials said the victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in critical condition.
