NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A teacher at a Bronx public school was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually abusing several 10-year-old students, according to the NYPD.
Norman Dunkley, 48, a teacher at P.S. 70 in Concourse Village is accused of touching a 10-year-old girl's breast inside a classroom and showing the girl, who is reportedly a student of Dunkley's, a picture of a naked woman, authorities said.
Three other 10-year-old girls have also made allegations against Dunkley, according to police.
Dunkley was charged with sex abuse, forcible touching, endangering the welfare of an incompetent person, and harassment, officials said.
"This alleged behavior is absolutely unacceptable," the Department of Education said in a statement. "The safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. This employee was removed from the school and students, and we will work with the NYPD as they investigate. If convicted, we will move to terminate him."
