NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 27-year-old deliveryman riding an electric scooter died early Thursday when he collided with a dump truck in Brooklyn, police said.
At around 6:30 a.m., the victim was riding east in the vicinity of Caton Avenue and 7th Street in the Kensington neighborhood when he crashed into a 2017 Kenmore dump truck, which was traveling in the same direction, the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad determined.

Responding officers encountered the unconscious and unresponsive man, lying on the roadway with severe head trauma. EMS pronounced the man dead on the scene.
The 42-year-old man driving the dump truck remained at the scene.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing by the NYPD's Highway Patrol C.I.S.
